Discount Carbide is conscious of the need for privacy & security for your Internet shopping experience.
We use sophisticated encryption technology. This means at the checkout, our servers and your PC encrypt (scramble) everything that you enter into your computer, such as credit card details, billing and delivery address. Because it is encrypted, other computers are unable to make sense of it, therefore keeping this information private.
There are visual clues on screen that tell you when you have entered a secure environment. In the bottom of your browser, the key or padlock icon, which is normally broken, becomes solid.
As part of the software used by discountcarbide.co.nz there are secure processes built into the store. Specifically the engine ensures:
- Every order has a unique number
- Every order is logged in a robust database
- All your payment details can only be retrieved by Discount Carbide in an encrypted session
- Confirmation emails of your order are sent to you the customer
Email Policy
We only email you if you want us to. We do not send unsolicited emails. When you register your email address with us you go on a list to receive email announcements about products, offers and promotions from Discount Carbide.We do not disclose your email address to third parties.
Every email message we send includes an email address to which you can respond. If at any time you decide you do not want to receive our emails simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. This will remove your email address from our mailing list. If you unsubscribe you will still receive emails specifically related to your online orders.
Delivery Policy - Discount Carbide delivers WORLDWIDE!
Delivery charges are calculated and added to your order after you enter your delivery location and before you enter your payment details. You get to see the full charge before completing your purchase. All pricing on the Discount Carbide site is in NZ Dollars and Excludes GST.
The anticipated delivery time within New Zealand is overnight (or sometimes same day), unless an item ordered is out of stock in which case you will be notified of the expected additional delay.
Deliveries within NZ are are made by NZ Courier and deliveries in Australia are delivered through NZ Couriers using AustraliaPAC TM.
Note that higher charges will apply for large/heavy items and also for deliveries to some rural and remote areas. We will advise you by email when you place your order if a higher delivery charge is required. We will not send the goods without your approval of this higher rate.
Deliveries to other countries outside New Zealand and Australia will be sent by Air Post.
Description of Products
Each product purchased is sold subject to its Product Description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information, including Product Descriptions, appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position at the exact moment you place an order.
Returns & Damaged Goods Policy
At Discount Carbide, we stand by the quality of our product and we make things right if you are not satisfied with your purchase.
You can return any product you buy from us for a full refund or exchange within 14 days of purchase, no matter what the reason. The product must be returned in its original condition with packaging and invoice.
Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If the goods have been damaged in transit email us and we will arrange to replace the damaged product(s).

All prices are stated in New Zealand dollars.
